COMOS line lists serve as communication between the piping department and Process department during the design phase of the project. They are also used to ensure the accurate reflection of the number of lines in the P&ID during piping design.
Mainly used so that nontechnical staff can purchase the correct items. It is a list of all equipment that is needed for the mechanical aspect of the project and includes key summary information about all the tagged equipment and reference P&ID numbers.
Mechanical Valve Lists are generated to keep count of the number of valves needed for the contractors during construction of the project.
Provides important details of the sizes of different equipment to be used for the project and is used to assist the vendor for manufacturing or fabrication of the equipment. Other engineering disciplines such as electrical engineers to complete their detailed engineering designs.
What is COMOS?
COMOS is an engineering design software platform that allows for multidiscipline designs (Process, Instrumentation, Mechanical, Electrical) to be executed and integrated on one cloud-based system for a cohesive engineering solution. These software capabilities are an answer to problems that the Mining, Minerals and Metals industry has been facing using alternative traditional engineering design software commonly used for plant engineering projects.
Our Design Process
Each discipline has a designated Project Manager and Project Engineer from our client firms. These are the people heading up the design process. They then give our team the lead and direction to make it possible for our team to produce designs catered for their specific organisational needs. Our team of Engineering Designers would then transfer this vision into the COMOS platform and bring the designs alive with client standards and specifications adhered to.
